A note for DoorDash visitors

Found us through DoorDash? Thank you.

Seriously — thanks for going looking. The fact that you took the time to search for late-night Mexican food and ended up at Señor Taco means a lot. We do show up on DoorDash, and orders from there still feed real people in this neighborhood. But if you want the best version of this transaction for everyone involved — there's a better path, and it takes about the same amount of time.

Where the money actually goes

DoorDash takes a real cut. Here's what that means.

Every DoorDash order has commissions, service fees, and delivery fees layered into it. Add it all up — what the marketplace charges you, what it charges us, and the various processing fees in the middle — and as much as 45% of the money you spend can leave Essington entirely. Most of that money heads to corporate offices in California rather than staying in Delaware County.

We're not knocking DoorDash. They get food to people. The dashers do real work and deserve real tips. But if you want as much of your dollar as possible to actually land with the kitchen that cooks your tacos — direct is the way.

Can leave the local economy

Commissions, service fees, delivery fees, and processing — added up, a significant slice of what you pay can end up with big tech in California instead of with us.

100%
Stays with the food itself

When you order direct, the money for your food goes to the people who made it. No marketplace commission. The kitchen, the staff, the suppliers — all local.

Same tacos. Same kitchen. Better split.

Order direct in about a minute.

The same birria, the same loaded nachos, the same quesadillas — without the layers of marketplace fees. Open every night until 1:30 AM.
